To improve strength by mixing polyethylene, reactive polyethylene and vegetable substance, then melting and molding.
Normal polyethylene and reactive polyethylene are mixed, and the mixture polyethylene is heated to a temp. higher than the melting point and kept at that temp. (e.g. at 150°C for 7.5 min). Then the mixture as melted is kneaded. Chlorella dried or processed in a pellet or powder form are mixed to the mixture polyethylene melt, kneaded at high temp. (e.g. at 160°C for 7.5 min) to obtain a homogeneous mixture, which is then cooled. The mixture is formed into pellets. By forming the product as pellets, it can be easily handled and the homogeneity of the mixture is improved. Then the mixture as pellets is supplied to fill a molding die, melted and molded. The molding temp. and molding pressure are controlled to 150 to 190°C and 1 to 7 MPa, respectively. Further, if necessary, the molded body is again put in the die, repressurized and cooled so as to stabilize the quality of the molded body.
