Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a pencil lead having a sufficient flexural strength and an excellent tinting power in combination.
CONSTITUTION: This is a method for producing a non-baked pencil lead by kneading a composition composed mainly of a binder, a colorant, an extender and a lubricant and forming the resultant kneaded material. The characteristics of this production method is that a cellulose acetic acid plastic and a combination of lithium soap and a fatty acid amide are used respectively as a part or the whole of the binder and as a part or the whole of a lubricant.
