Title:
PRODUCTION OF NON-TEMPERED HOT FORGED PARTS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3238544
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a process for production of the non-tempered hot forged parts which have high durability, toughness and machinability and are heretofore difficult to be realized with the conventional non-tempered parts.
CONSTITUTION: A steel which contains 0.10 to 0.35% C, 0.005 to 1.5% Si, 0.4 to 1.3% Mn, 0.01 to 0.1% S, 0.0005 to 0.05% Al, 0.003 to 0.05% Ti, 0.0030 to 0.02% N and 0.2 to 0.7% V and further, contains specific ratios of one or ≥2 kids of Cr and others is subjected to forging at 800 to 1000°C and is cooled down to room temp. The structure rate (f) of the pearlite structure in the metallic structure of the members formed in the manner described above is 1.05C+0.35≥f≥1.05C-0.1 of the carbon content C(%) and the members have tensile strength of 70 to 90kgf/mm2 and the impact value at 20°C of ≥4kgf/cm2.
