Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a needle punched nonwoven fabric, hardly causing problems such as cracking of fiber in the needle-punching process, breakage of the fiber caused thereby, insufficiency of entanglement, roughening or hardening of the nonwoven fabric caused by being formed into a corrugated cardboard structure, decrease of weight and setting during the punching, and abrasion of needles for the needle-punching.
SOLUTION: A one-bave needle having ≤0.45 mm thickness of a blade part, ≤0.01 mm kick-up 2, ≤0.06 mm total of the kick-up 2 and a throat depth 3 is used when needle-punching a web comprising a ultrafine fiber-forming type and sea-island type fiber having ≤40% extractable sea component comprising a polyethylene based on the weight of the fiber, and ≤200 number of islands in the method for producing the needle punched nonwoven fabric.
