Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a process for producing the title molding which comprises conducting reaction-injection-molding of a reaction solution comprising a norbornene monomer and a metathesis catalyst system and by which the glass transition temperature and the conversion can be improved by preventing the reaction solution from losing its activity and therefore the surface of the molding can be prevented from being made sticky by unreacted monomer, and the molding can be prevented from emitting the odor of unreacted monomer, and flow patterns and fine voids can be prevented from forming on the surface of the molding. CONSTITUTION:A process for producing a molding by mixing a stock solution (solution A) containing a norbornene monomer and a metathesis catalyst with another stock solution (solution B) containing a norbornene monomer and a cocatalyst, injecting the mixture into a mold and bulk-polymerizing it therein, wherein a solution (solution C) containing a norbornene monomer and a cocatalyst and having a concentration of the cocatalyst of 0.5 molar concentration or above is added to solution B before mixing solution A with solution B or simultaneously mixed as a third stream during mixing solution A with solution B.
