PURPOSE: To uniformize the resin to be stuck to a substrate and to reduce the thickness of the disk by pressurizing the substrate via a plate material having elasticity from the rear surface of the substrate at the time of curing a liquid resin, thereby bringing the substrate and a stamper into tight contact with each other uniformly over the entire surface thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The elastic plate material 5 having resilience is interposed between the stamper 1 and a metallic mold 2 and the surface of the stamper and the surface of the substrate are brought into tight contact with each other by pressurization even if the plane accuracy of the stamper 1 and the metallic mold 2 is slightly inferior at the time of transferring the fine patterns formed on the stamper 1 by the liquid resin 3. The stamper 1 is brought into pressurized contact with the substrate 4 after the stamper is imposed on the elastic plate material 5 and, therefore, the application of a partial strong force therebetween is obviated. The formation of the resin to an extremely small and uniform thickness is possible in this way and the tilt thereof is decreased. The problem of a deterioration in the properties of the thin film for an optical memory deposited thereon is lessened and improvement in reliability is made.
