Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a [18F]-labeled organic compound in high yield and at a low cost while keeping high collection efficiency of a [18F]-fluoride ion by using a 4-aminopyridinium resin.

CONSTITUTION: A labeled organic compound of the formula 18FR is produced by (A) contacting a below mentioned resin with a [18F]-fluoride ion-containing water to collect a [18F]-fluoride ion on the resin, (B) activating the collected [18F]-fluoride ion by contacting the resin with the first polar neutral solvent and (C) contacting the treated resin with a solution containing a substrate of the formula XR (X is a nucleophobic leaving group; R is an alicyclic or an aromatic hydrocarbon group) dissolved in the second polar neutral solvent to react the substrate with [18F]-fluoride ion. The resin used in the process A is expressed by the formula [the ring P is a crosslinked alkylstyrene halide- styrene copolymer carrier; Y is an amino group or a piperidino group; Z is a counter ion; (n) is an integer of 1-7] and the content of the pyridinium salt is 0.1-1.0mmol/g in the case of (n)=1, and 0.4-1.7mmol/g in the case of (n)=2-7.
