Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the subject compound by reacting a chloro- or bromo-organic compound with a fluorinating agent in a benzonitrile solvent while preventing formation of, or removing, an acid fluoride of aromatic compound, in order to prevent corrosion resulting from halogen exchanging and also to prevent formation of ionic fluorine known as corrosive substance.
SOLUTION: This compound is obtained by reacting a chloro- or bromo- organic compound [e.g. chlorinated or brominated aromatic compound shown by the formula (X is N or the like; (m) is 1 to 5; (n) is 0 to 4; and (m+n) is 1 to 5)] with a fluorinating agent (e.g. potassium fluoride) preferably at 190 to 400°C and approximately 0 to 30 kg/cm2 in a benzonitrile solvent, in the presence of, e.g. oxide, hydroxide and/or carbonate of alkaline or alkaline-earth metal (e.g. KOH) to prevent formation of an acid fluoride of aromatic compound.
