This organosilicon disulfidc compound useful as an adhesion accelerator for a vulcanized rubber mixture reinforced with an inorganic material such as a glass, SiO2, an aluminosilicate, and a carbon black, is effectively obtained by reacting (A) a thiobis(benzothiazole) compound expressed by formula 1 with (B) a mercaptosilane compound expressed by the formula: Z-R1-SH [Z is a group of formula II (R2 is a 1-4C alkyl or phenyl; R3 is a 1-8C alkoxy or a 5-8C cycloalkoxy), formula I II, formula IV, etc.; R1 is a 1-8C (substituted) alkylene or a 6-12C (substituted) arylone] (e.g.; 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane).
