To provide a method for producing an ortho-substituted aryl metal compound, the reaction thereof with an electrophilic reagent, particularly a method for producing an ortho-substituted aryl metal compound, the reaction thereof with an electrophilic reagent that has no defect that has been pointed out in the existing process at an advantageous cost, and can be carried out in a practical scale.
This relates to a method for producing an ortho-substituted aryl metal compound in which an aromatic compound having a hydrogen atom at the ortho position to at least one halogen atom, one trifluoromethoxy group, one dialkylamino group, one nitrile group, one alkoxy group or one dialkylamide group is deprotonated and produce the objective ortho-substituted aryl metal compound and the reaction of the aryl metal compound with an electrophilic reagent. In this case, the deprotonation of the aromatic compound is carried out by using an alkylmetal compound or an arylmetal compound or a metal hydride.
