PURPOSE: To produce a pale mixture composed of a stabilized rosin ester remarkably improved in many performances of color tone, odor and stability, etc., and a metal salt of a stabilized rosin by an integrated process.

CONSTITUTION: A partially esterified material of a purified rosin comprising the purified rosin and alcohols is subjected to salt-making reaction with a metal compound containing at least either one metal among lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and zinc and the, the reactional product is dehydrogenated or hydrogenated to provide the objective pale mixture.
