Title:
PRODUCTION OF PANEL PARTS BY DETONATION PRESSURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0751761
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To sufficiently fit materials to molds and to obtain parts having good a shape freezing property by placing an approximately box-shaped body, which is formed by notching four corners of a square sheet and bending this sheet from these parts, on the molds and subjecting this body to impact molding.

CONSTITUTION: The four corners 1a of the square sheet 1 consisting of a high tensile steel, etc., are notched to a desired depth and the four sides 1b to 1e are bent from the notched parts and thereafter, the butt parts 1f to 1i of the sides and the sides are welded to form the approximately box-shaped body 2. This approximately box-shaped body 2 is placed on the molds of a molding device having a final panel shape. The detonation waves generated by igniting a combustible gaseous mixture are converged on progression and the resulted high pressure is transmitted to a pressure medium consisting of liquid or elastic substance and is thereby converted to the hydraulic pressure or elastic pressure. The approximately box-shaped body 2 receives the high surface pressure and is frozen in its shape to the shape of the final panel parts.
