Abstract:

PURPOSE:To improve diffusibility and permeability of a varnish into a paper substrate and obtain a prepreg excellent in electrical insulating properties by prehumidifying the paper substrate before impregnating thereof with a hydrophilic resin varnish. CONSTITUTION:The objective prepreg obtained by prehumidifying a paper substrate before impregnating thereof with a hydrophilic resin varnish, then impregnating the paper substrate with the aforementioned varnish, drying the resultant impregnated substrate, impregnating the prepared substrate with a hydrophobic resol varnish and drying the impregnated substrate.
