Abstract:

To provide a paste which prevents the reaggregation of coloring agents and can manufacture of a color filter having an excellent transmittance, contrast and smoothness.

The diameters of media in respective stages are made successively smaller and dispersion is executed by circulation in the process for producing a paste for color filters which executes the dispersion of the coloring agents in multiple stages by using a medium agitating type dispersing machine, such as a sand mill. The diameters of the media are preferably in a range of 0.1 to 1.0 (mm diameter). The material of the media is preferably ceramics.
