Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to stabilize the formation of a curtain film and to produce a photosensitive material by stable application by preparing a coating liquid having the dynamic surface tension of the intimidate layer of the coating liquid to be used larger than the dynamic surface tension of the outer layer.
SOLUTION: Plural layers of the coating liquid flow down while forming a uniform layer thickness on the sliding surface 4 of a coater die 3. The coating liquid parts from the front end of the die lip 5 of the coater die 3 and falls successively while forming the thin curtain film. At this time, the curtain film is placed on a base 2 under transportation and the continuous application is successively attained while the uniform films are formed and maintained by the dynamic surface tension generated between both sides of the curtain film and edge guides 6. The coating liquid to be used consists of the coating liquid constitution having the dynamic surface tension of the intermediate layer of the coating liquid layer than the dynamic surface tension of the outer layer. Then, the stability and coatability of the curtain film are additionally improved.
