Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a production method of a planographic printing plate by silver salt diffusion transfer method.
CONSTITUTION: The production method of a planographic printing plate by DTR method includes a process to expose an image forming material having a silver halide emulsion layer and an image accepting layer containing physical developing nuclei on a base body according to the information, a process to develop the image forming material after exposure with an alkali treating liquid in the presence of a developing agent, a solvent for silver halides and a hydrophobic agent. The hydrophobic agent is present at least 0.1g/l as a whole in the alkali treating liquid, and at least one kind of solvent for silver halides is a compd. expressed by Z-(R1-S)t-R2-S-R3-Y. In formula, Z and Y are independently hydrogen, etc., R1, R2, R3 are independently alkylene groups which may have substituents, and if necessary, may have a crosslinked structure with oxygen, and (t) is an integer 0 to 10.
