Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing a planographic printing plate having good printing characteristics by a DTR method.
CONSTITUTION: This process for producing the planographic printing plate by the silver salt diffusion transfer method includes a stage of exposing an image forming material, including silver halide emulsion layers and image receptive layers contg. physical developing nuclei on a base according to information and developing the image forming material exposed according to the information by using an alkaline processing agent in the presence of developing agents and silver halide solvents. At least one kind of the silver halide solvents are the compds., corresponding to the formula. In the formula, X1, X2, X3 and X4 denote -S-, -NH- or -N(R5-Z3)-; R1, R2, R3 and R4 denote alkylene, alkenylene or alkinylene; (n) and (m) denote integers from 0 to 4; Z1, Z2 and Z4 denote hydrogen, alkyl group, etc., an L denotes ethylene or 3 to 4C bivalent bond chains.
