PURPOSE: To produce a planographic printing plate excellent in water retention characteristic, having an excellent printing image and high printing durability even in a severe condition and effective in the scanning exposure system using semiconductor laser beam.
CONSTITUTION: The planographic printing plate contains a nonaquaous solvent dispersion type resin particle, obtained by allowing a monomer (C) having at least one kind of formyl group and/or a functional group converted to formyl group by acid treating to polymerize with a monomer (D) having a substituted group containing silicon atom and/or fluorine atom and copolymerizable with the monomer (C) in the presence of a resin for stably dispersing, in the surface layer and contains a low molecular weight resin (A), made by bonding a polymer component having a specific repeating unit and the side chain of the polymer main chain to a polar group, in a photoconductive layer.
