Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a lens comprising a hard coat and a reflection-preventive coat disposed thereon which is excellent in impact resistance and free from a trouble of staining a liquid for a hard coat.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a plastic lens base is coated with a primer coating contg. a blocked polyisocyanate and a polyol as the main components, which is then cured by heat to form a heat-curable polyurethane primer layer, on which a hard coat is then provided, followed by vapor deposition of an inorg. substance(s) on the surface of the hard coat to form a single or multiple reflection-preventive layers. In the foregoing process for producing a plastic lens, the blocked polyisocyanate of the primer coating which is used as a main component in combination with the polyol as another main component is blocked with a β-diketone.
