To provide a method for stably producing the subject high-quality false-twist textured yarn afforded with a combination of hard twist yarn-like touch feel and lightly splashed pattern-like appearance, without causing unevennesses among spindles, using a conventional existing false-twisting machine.
This method for producing the false-twist textured yarn comprises subjecting multifilament yarn consisting of polyester yarn with uneven fineness to false-twisting at a processing temperature within the range from the softening point of the multifilament yarn minus 30°C to the softening point minus 10°C; wherein it is preferably that the multifilament yarn is ≥1% in the measurement (U%) by yarn evenness test and 65-130°C in the thermal stress peak temperature.
