Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester product provided with good impact resilience and dimensional stability and having excellent shape retainability.
CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a polyester product comprises thermally treating a polyester fiber, a polyester film or a product containing the polyester fiber or film in a wet-heating state and/or in a dry-heating state at a temperature of ≥90°C. Therein, the polyester fiber or film has a yield stress point and a constant stress elongation region enabling to elongate the fiber or film with a lower stress than that at the yield stress point, and has an elongation of <100% between the yield stress point and the final point of the constant stress elongation region, in a load-elongation curve obtained by measuring the tensile strengths and elongations of the polyester fiber or film.
