Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester yarn used for reinforcing rubbers and having excellent adhesivity to the rubbers and good fatigue resistance.
SOLUTION: This method for producing a polyester yarn used for reinforcing rubbers comprises treating the polyester yarn with the first treating agent containing a fluorinated urethane compound, preferably twisting the treated yarn to produce a cord, treating the cord with the second treating agent containing an epoxy compound and a blocked polyisocyanate compound, and subsequently treating the treated cord with a resorcinol-formalin-rubber latex(RFL).
