Title:
PRODUCTION OF POLYMER PARTICLES WITH INDEFINITE SHAPES AND THEIR USE FOR TONER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0711150
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a toner for electrophotography which has a well controlled particle size and a narrow particle size distribution, is excellent in resolving degree, and hardly exhibits fogging, scattering, etc., and to provide a carrier which is used for carrying a physiologically active substance, has a surface area large enough for carrying a large amt. of the substance, and exhibits only a small pressure loss when packed.

CONSTITUTION: Each of the particles is formed by agglomerating a plurality of particles of a polymer having monomer units having dissociatable groups under condition that part of or all the dissociatable groups are kept dissociated when the agglomeration is conducted. Thus, the particle size and its distribution of these particles are controlled, giving uniform agglomerate particles.
