Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a polyol containing a polymer dispersed therein in a high concentration.
CONSTITUTION: An ethylenically unsaturated monomer is polymerized in a polymerization medium comprising a polyol and an aliphatic ether compound represented by the formula: R1OR2 (wherein R1 and R2 are each 1-5C alkyl), an the aliphatic ether compound is removed from the reaction product to obtain a polyol containing a polymer dispersed therein and having a markedly reduced viscosity.
