PURPOSE: To provide a production process by which a polyolefin undergoing little change in transparency, heat-seal strength, etc., with time can be efficiently produced through simplified steps
CONSTITUTION: This production process comprises (co)polymerizing an olefin in a liquid phase in the presence of an olefin-polymerization catalyst comprising a metallocene of a Group IVB transition metal of the Periodic Table and an organoaluminumoxy compound; introducing the resulting reaction mixture containing the polyolefin from the polymerization zone into a separation zone kept at a temp. not lower than the upper cloud point to separate the mixture into a lower phase having a high polyolefin concentration and an upper phase; and recovering the polyolefin from the lower phase and recycling at least part of the upper phase to the polymerization zone.
