Abstract:
To provide sulfur polysulfide of a high concentration while preventing the anode dissolution of an electrode material and the side-production of thioslfuric acid ions.
The solution containing sulfide is electrolytically oxidized by using electrolytic cells (1 and 2) having anode chambers (11 and 21) arranged with anodes (13 and 23), cathode chambers (14 and 24) arranged with cathodes (15 and 25) and diaphragms (16 and 26) segmenting the anode chambers and the cathode chambers and imparting the distribution of electrolytic conditions in the flow direction of the solution in the electrolytic cells.
