Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a positioning jig for holding a work of intricate three-dimensional shape surely at a specified position and excellent in durability of repeated use inexpensively in a short time.
SOLUTION: Three recesses 31 corresponding to a component of a switch cover, i.e., the key top part 12 of a basic body 10, are made in a material of aluminum plate, for example, by means of an NC milling machine and injection ports 32 are made opening to the bottom part of the recesses 31 thus producing a jig body 30. Each key top part 12 of the basic body 10 is then fitted in the recesses 31 of the jig body 30 thus defining a cavity opening to the injection ports 32 in each recess 31. A silicon resin material having viscosity of 100-2000 poise is then injected through the injection ports 32 into the cavities. Subsequently, the injected resin is cured to form a Z position aligning part 33 bonded integrally with the jig body 30 and the basic body 10 is removed. The key top part 12 of the basic body 10 is fitted in the recess 31 of a jig J and the basic body 10 is aligned in the XY direction by the side face of the recess 31 and in the Z direction by the Z position aligning part 33.
