Title:
PRODUCTION OF POWDER-CONTAINING PAPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3421446
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain powder-containing paper having no problem in water filtration in paper making and improved powder yield and no reduction in paper power by adding finely fibrillated cellulose combined with powder to a pulp slurry for papermaking.
CONSTITUTION: A mixed slurry which is obtained by mixing desired powder such as clay with pulp in a dry weight ratio of (1:1)-(1:10) and has 1-10wt.% solid content concentration is introduced to a device made by tightly arranging plural polishing granule plates comprised of polishing granules having No. 24-80 particle size, applying powerful mechanical shear force to the slurry to give a complex of finely fibrillated cellulose having 0.05-0.3mm number-average fiber length and the powder. A fixed amount of the finely fibrillated cellulose combined with the powder is added to a pulp slurry for paper making and subjected to papermaking to give powder-containing paper in good yield of powder.
