PURPOSE: To make the title card economical without causing deformation or damage of a sheet by a method wherein a picture writing drawn over an area greater than the surface area of a sheet of a precious metal or a precious metal alloy is duplicated in a reduced size on the surface of the sheet, and the sheet is covered by a transparent resin film.
CONSTITUTION: First, a high-purity gold ingot is rolled, and is cut to the size of a calling card (for example) to obtain a sheet 1. Next, a gold score card (picture writing) 2, for example, is copied on the face side of the sheet 1 in a reduced size approximate to the size of the sheet 1 (by a commercial copying machine). Guarantee characters 4 of the maker's name, amount, purity or the like for guarantee gold are laser marked on the back side of the sheet 1. The face and back sides of the sheet 1 are then covered by acrylic resin films 5a, 5b slightly greater than the sheet 1, and marginal parts of the opposing sides of the films 5a, 5b are welded to each other, thereby binding the sheet 1 and the films 5a, 5b integrally.
