Abstract:
To provide a production process of a lactum compound by which the compound is produced in a high yield under a mild reaction condition using an economically favorable solid catalyst in conducting Beckmann rearrangement reaction of a cycloalkanone oxime compound in the presence of a solid catalyst in a liquid phase.
The production process of a lactum compound comprises producing a corresponding lactum compound from a cycloalkanone oxime compound through Beckmann rearrangement reaction (1) in the presence of a multicomponent oxide containing silicon and zirconium (2) in a liquid phase (3) at a reaction temperature of 30-350°C.
