Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce the subject pyrochlore compound which has small influence of temperature variation and high endurability to high temperature and high humidity conditions and is used for a resistor material, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A fine mixture of metal pentaoxide selected from the group of SnO, SnO2, Ta2O5, Nb2O5, and their mixture is calcined at ≥500°C in a nonoxidative atmosphere to produce a pyrochlore-related compound corresponding to Sn2-x2+Tay3Sny14+O7-x-y1/2 (where x=0-0.55; y3=0-2; y1=0-0.5; y1+y2+y3=2).
