Abstract:
To provide a process for producing a resin which is usable for a hydrolyzable antifouling coating compsn. capable of exhibiting excellent antifouling effects for a long term.
In this process for producing a resin for a hydrolyzable antifouling coating compsn. from benzaldehyde and polyallylamine formed by polymerizing allylamine, polyallylamine prepd. in advance is reacted with benzaldehyde to bond benzaldehyde in the form of azomethine groups to the side chains of polyallylamine.
