Title:
PRODUCTION OF SHADOW MASK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56139624
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a shadow mask of a low cost and superior hole accuracy and formability by subjecting a steel strip of specific composition to specific annealing to mask a steel sheet, and further subjecting the same to specific annealing an a mask forming process.

CONSTITUTION: The continuously cast low-carbon aluminum-killed hot-rolled steel plate consisting of ≤0.12% C, 0.20W0.5% Mn, 0.02W0.11% SolAl, ≤0.03% Si, and the balance Fe and unavoidable impurities is made into a steel sheet by way of pickling, primary cold rolling, bright annealing, secondary cold rolling and slitting. The bright annealing is accomplished at soaking temperatures of recrystallization temp.W800°C. Thence, the sheet is pierced by etching and is shorn to make flat masks. Next, the flat masks and screen spacers are stacked alternately, and are mask-annealed at around 700W900°C, whereby decarburization efficiency is enhanced. Further, after leveling treatment, the masks are press-formed to a required curved surface.
