Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To faithfully impart embossed patterns to the polymer surface of a sheet of which the surface is constituted of a polymer based on an elastic polymer without damaging the feeling of the sheet.
SOLUTION: At first, a sheet is brought into contact with a heating roll 2 and heated while moved over the range 1/4-1/2 the circumference of a circle of the roll 2 in a contact state accompanied by the rotation of the roll 2 and the heated sheet is passed through the nip between the roll 2 and a back roll 1 to be pressed between both rolls and immediately pressed to a cooled embossing roll 3 having embossed patterns on the back roll 1 and moved over the range 1/20-1/2 of the circumference of a circle of the cooled embossing roll 3 in the contact state with the roll 3 accompanying the rotation of the roll 3 and the cooled sheet is peeled from the surface of the embossing roll.
