Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a silicon-containing resin improved in flexibility and storage stability.
CONSTITUTION: A silicon-containing resin is produced by copolymerizing at least one monomer (a) selected between a (meth)acrylic ester and styrene with at least one vinyl-silane compound monomer (b) and optionally at least one polymerizable carboxylic monomer (c) according to a two-stage polymerization system in which monomer (a) is first radical-polymerized, monomer (b) and optionally monomer (c) are added to the polymerization system, and the entire is polymerized.
