Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound as a synthetic intermediate for fine chemical products such as azrochemicals and medicines efficiently in one step process using readily available raw materials by reacting a specific aromatic azomethine with a disilane fluoride.
CONSTITUTION: An aromatic azomethine expressed by the formula Ar-CH=N-R [Ar is an aromatic ring; R is a (substituted) alkyl or aralkyl] (e.g.; N-benzylidene methylamine) is reacted with a disilane fluoride expressed by formula I [at least one of R1-R6 is F and the remainder are (substituted) hydrocarbons] (e.g.; 1,2-difluoro-1,1,2,2-tetramethyldisilane) at a molar ratio of the aromatic azomethine to the disilane fluoride of (1:100) to (100:1) in the presence of a catalyst [e.g. tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium] at 120°C for 5 hours to efficiently afford the objective silyl group-substituted amine expressed by formula II as a synthetic intermediate, etc., for fine chemical products such as azsochemicals and medicines.
