Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain nonwoven fabric made of a polyester, only slightly evolving a poisonous gas in combustion, having excellent flameproofness, excellent stain resistance and good handle.
CONSTITUTION: The characteristic of this stainproof flame-retardant nonwoven fabric comprises heat-treating nonwoven fabric composed of flame-retardant polyester yarn copolymerized with 0.3-1.5wt.%, calculated as phosphorus element based on a polymer, of a phosphorus compound and thermally bondable polyester-based yarn at ≥ the melting point of the thermally bondable polyester- based yarn and treating the heat-treated nonwoven fabric with an organic fluorinated polymer-based water repellent agent.
