Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a steel plate having high ductility and high strength by executing roll working after heating a steel slab, containing the specific quantities of C, Si, B, and N and specifying carbon equivalent, at the specific temp. range and then quenching and tempering it within the specific time.

CONSTITUTION: The steel slab is contained by wt% of 0.06W0.12% C, 0.01W0.15% Si, 0.0003W0.0020% B, ≤0.0040% N and made to 0.40W0.65% carbon equivalent Ceq found in the relation equation. After this slab is heated at 1,000W1,300°C, the hot rolling is executed at 800W900°C as roll finishing temp. the quenching treatment is started within 60sec after completing the hot rolling and the tempering treatment is executed after completion of quenching. In this way, the steel having high strength and ductility is obtd.
