Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a steel sheet for soft vessel having the degree of refining of ≤(T-3) and also having non-aging characteristic equivalent to that of a batch-annealed steel sheet by means of a continuous annealing furnace.
CONSTITUTION: The hot slab of a steel which has a composition containing, by weight, ≤0.0015% C, ≤0.06% P, ≤0.10% acid soluble Al, ≤0.0060% N, and, besides the above, one or more kinds among 3.4×(N%-0.0010) to 0.02% Ti, 6.6×(N%-0.0010)% to 0.03% Nb, and 0.79×(N%-0.0010) to 0.0040% B is hot-rolled at ≥850°C finishing temp., cold-rolled, annealed in a continuous annealing furnace, and temper-rolled at 0.6-10% elongation percentage. By this method, the objective steel sheet for soft vessel with non-aging characteristic can be industrially produced even in a continuous annealing furnace free from overageing treatment, without being subjected to the restrictions of slab reheating temp. and winding temp. in the hot rolling stage.
