Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a steel wire efficiently spheroidizing a wire rod as hot-rolled at a low cost.
A wire rod obtd. by subjecting a steel contg., by weight, >0.8% C to hot rolling is heated to the temp. range of the Accm point to the Accm point + 100°C, is held for 1 to 10sec, is thereafter subjected to drawing working in the temp. range of 800 to 680°C at the total reduction of area of ≥30% and is next cooled at least to 500°C at a cooling rate of ≤20°C/sec.
