Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a resin powder which, when mixed with a vinyl chloride resin, provides a molding having good physical properties and has been improved in blocking resistance, by mixing the coagulated slurry of a specified polymer latex with the latex or coagulated slurry of a specified polymer and subjecting the mixture to heat treatment, water removal and drying.
CONSTITUTION: A polymer latex which comprises a graft copolymer containing at least 40wt.% rubber as the backbone polymer and aims at incorporation into viny chloride resin is formed into coagulated slurry. This slurry in an amount of 100 pts.wt. based on the graft copolymer is mixed with 0.1-10 pts.wt. latex or slurry of a polymer of 30-60wt.% methyl methacrylate, 65-35wt.% aromatic vinyl monomer, 0.1-25wt.% crosslinking monomer and 0-30wt.% crosslinkable other monomer. This mixture is coagulated, heat treated, dewatered and dried to provide an objective synthetic resin powder.
