Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a three-dimensional article having an undistorted three- dimensional shape and having a cavity part provided therein without requiring skilled technique.
SOLUTION: A mold balloon 20 is expanded into a shape almost same to that on a headrest side. Next, a lower press member 24 is pressed to a first sheet material 16 from below while an upper press member 26 is pressed to a second sheet material 18 from above. Whereupon, the peripheral edge part 30 of the sheet material 16 and the peripheral edge part 32 of the second sheet material 18 protrude from the gap between the lower and upper press members 24, 26 in a superposed state without being covered by both press members 24, 26 and, therefore, only by sewing the peripheral edge parts 30, 32 of both of the first and second sheet materials 16, 18, an undistorted headrest can be produced.
