PURPOSE: To easily produce a three-dimensionally expressed dial by successively depositing plural plating layers of dissimilar metals or alloys onto the base material of a dial and removing at least one plating layer among the plating layers in the part other than the part to be decorated at the time of producing a dial to which bright three-dimensional decoration is applied.

CONSTITUTION: An Ni plating film 2, a Pd plating film 3, and an 18-Karat Au alloy plating film 4 are successively formed on a base material 1 of a dial made of brass. Subsequently, a resist resin 5 is applied to an Arabic figure part requiring three-dimensional decoration on the above film 4 by a photoresist method and the Au alloy plating film 4 in the part other than the three- dimensional decoration part is removed by a cyanic peeling solution, and then, the resist resin 5 is peeled by means of a peeling solution for exclusive use for the resist resin, by which the timepiece dial in which gold-colored Arabic figures are expressed on the metallic plating can be easily produced.
