PURPOSE: To obtain a transparent touch panel thinned its width, prevented the generation of a defective short-circuit or defective switching and improved durability by printing out an insulating substance on an insulating substrate like lines or gratings to form spacers.
CONSTITUTION: The insulating substrate 2 is made of glass of 2mm thickness and a transparent conductive film 3 is formed by evaporating In2O3 of 500 thickness on the surface of a base material 2 and vertically divided into two parts on the center part. The spacers 4 are formed by printing out resist ink on the surfaces of the base material 2 and the film 3 like lines and its width, interval and height are respectively set up to 150 μm, 1mm and 10 μm. A movable electrode plate 5 is formed by evaporating a transparent conductive film 7 of 500 thickness on an insulating base material 6 consisting of a polyester film of 200 μm thickness, etching the film 7 with resist ink, peeling the resist with alkali, and then horizontally dividing the film 7 into two parts. A fixed electrode plate 1 and an electrode plate 5 are laminated to each other to form a transparent touch panel 8. Namely, a pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tapes 9 are stuck to both the ends of the electrode 1, and the electrode plate 5 is laminated to the plate 1 so that respective films 3, 7 are stuck to each other.
