PURPOSE: To produce the fixed edge for trimmer by a simple process by subjecting the edge point part to C-shaped beveling and R-shaped cornering simultaneously with bending the edge blank which forms a long hole in angle shape by the upper and lower pressing metal dies.

CONSTITUTION: A pressing is performed by enclosing between the upper and lower press metal dies 2, 3 of a pressing machine 1 the edge blank 4 blanked from a metallic plate after forming long holes 5, 6 on the blank 4 by punching. An angle projection part 8, pit part 9, recessed part 10 and C-shaped beveling part 11 are formed on said upper press metal die 2 and on the other hand the lower press metal die 3 has the projecting part 7 to locate said long hole 5, the first and second recessed parts 12, 13 and R-shaped beveling part 14. An edge member 18 is obtd. by forming C-shaped face 16 and R-shaped face 17 on an edge point part 15 as well as bending in angle shape the edge blank 4 by said pressing. With a lap grinding after forming a sinking comb 19 on the edge point part 15 by cutting then the trimmer edge of good quality is obtd. without any burring thereafter.
