PURPOSE: To make it possible to transport recycled chips to storage tanks without causing the chips of different kind to mix with each other by a structure wherein a common transporting passage to transport recycled chips, branch passages, each of which is branched off from the transporting passage and changed over by a changing-over means, residue discharging mechanism provided in the branch passages and storage tanks, which receive the recycled chips in the manner so as to be divided in kinds, are provided.
CONSTITUTION: Scrap sheets, which are developed respectively after extrusion, longitudinal stretching and lateral stretching, are ground and classified by grinding and classifying mechanisms 91, 92 and 93 and, after that, recycled chips are transported through a transporting passage 10 so as to receive the recycled chips in a storage tank 11 by passing through a branch passage 21, which is changed over by a changing-over means 31. When the manufacture of thermoplastic resin sheet colored in different tint is intended, the transporting passage 10 is changed over to a branch passage 22 by a changing-over means 31 after the release of the changing-over means 31 and the closing of the inlet of the branch passage 21 in order to transport the recycled chips to another storage tank 12. In addition, the recycled chips which are previously left in the transporting passage 10 are discharged outside the transporting passage 10 by means of a residue discharging mechanism 42. The discharge recycled chips are received in a vessel 52 so as to prevent them from scattering.
