Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing an unsaturated carbonyl compound, capable of reducing production cost by decreasing a catalytic amount. used and safely producing by carrying out reaction at low temperature instead of vicinity of boiling point of a reaction solvent.
CONSTITUTION: When an unsaturated carbonyl compound is produced by reacting a compound of carbonyls with olefins through a catalyst consisting of a vanadium compound, the reaction is carried out in the presence of a co-oxidizing agent. The co-oxidizing agent includes an oxidizing agent, oxygen atmosphere or an inert gas atmosphere containing oxygen or a substance capable of regenerating oxidation type vanadium and the reaction is preferably carried out in an oxygen atmosphere not affecting reverse influence by oxidizing the raw material itself or in an inert gas atmosphere containing oxygen. As the carbonyl compound, a compound of formula I (R1 to R4 each is H, an alkyl, an alkoxy, an aryl, etc.) is used and as the olefins, compounds of formula II (R5 to R8 each is H, an alkyl, aryl, substituted silyl, etc.) are used to provide the objective unsaturated carbonyl compound of formula III or formula TV.
