Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a urethane or carbonate, enabling the realization of green chemistry (low environmental load, high efficiency substance conversion, safe process) in good reaction efficiency.
SOLUTION: This method for producing a urethane of the formula: R1R2 NCOOR3 comprises reacting an amine compound of the formula: R1R2NH(R1, R2 are each a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group or the like) with an organic halide compound of the formula: R3X (R3 is a substituted or non- substituted alkyl or the like; R3X does not include a quaternary halide and the like) in the presence of a liquid or supercritical carbon dioxide as a raw material and a solvent, an onium salt, and a catching agent for catching a halogen released from the organic halide.
