PURPOSE: To produce titled copolymer which is easily meltable and easily processable and which can form moldings having excellent physical properties, by copolymerizing a vinyl chloride type monomer with a radically copolymerizable oligomer.
CONSTITUTION: Titled copolymer is obtained by suspension-polymerizing 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride type monomer (vinyl chloride which may contain a copolymerizable monomer) with 0.001W10pts.wt. of a radically copolymerizable oligomer copolymerizable with the above monomer, number-average MW 280W 30,000, glass transition point below about 80°C, such as polyethylene glycol diacrylate, at about 20W80°C in the presence of a dispersant and an oil-soluble radical initiator. The copolymer thus prepared can be formed into moldings having a compression set of below about 50% and a tensile strength of above about 1.3kg/mm2.
