Abstract:
To obtain a calcium silicate-based molding, having a high level of water repellency even to the core part and excellent in physical properties such as strength.
This calcium silicate-based molding is obtained by adding water to a calcareous and a siliceous raw materials, heating the resultant mixture under pressure while stirring the mixture, preparing a slurry of a calcium silicate crystal hydrate, mixing the prepared slurry with an oily polymer containing fluorine (e.g. a perfluoro-polyether or a perfluoro-polyether amidosilane) and a fibrous material for reinforcing, dehydration molding the slurry after mixing, drying the resultant dehydration molding under heating and hardening the molding.
